Nowhere in Europe is a similar dedication to golf taking place and there is a good reason; the mild weather in Murcia is just perfect for playing golf 12 months a year.

In spring 2007 Murica and adjacent zones have 15 Golf courses open while another 22 courses are currently being developed in the region of Murcia itself. South Course on La Manga Club were recently voted best course in Europe and a number of Bears Best and Signature courses will be among the new courses. Also famous Las Ramblas and La Finca are located just on the border of the region.

Murcia makes an ideal starting point for crossing to the Balearic Islands in sail or motorboats, and the coast itself offers many picturesque ports and coves to be explored.

Murcia is also famous for excellent diving zones with good underwater vision, colourful and exotic fishes and ship wrecks scattered along the coast. Numerous diving schools offer newcomers or experiences divers to benefit from all-year good diving conditions.

The unique nature of Murcia includes the biggest lagoon in Europe, hot springs in the mountains and beautiful sandy beaches.

Mar Menor is Europes biggest saltwater lagoon with 170 Km2. Mar Menor is ideal for family beach trip as underwater inclination is low and no underwater streams occurs. Therefore children can play safely in the water that also benefits from more comfortable bathing temperatures than the Mediterranean in spring and autumn.

Along the Mediterranean coast beautiful and surprisingly un-crowded beaches lies between massive rocks formations. Spa-resorts and thermal bathes in the mountains with temperatures around 34°C offers and ideal compensation in those month very beach-trips are not recommendable.
